Yes on the 1st of March 2003, I registered and set up the site for andrew.stoker.name. I was one of the first people in Australia to register a .name domain and it wasn’t without it’s problems.
I even had an article about it in the APC magazine at the time.
The sites gone through a number or platform changes over the years and has been hosted on various hosting sites and now resides on my home linux server. Self hosting has allowed a lot more freedom on what I can do.
The site value has also been increasing and currently is set at around USD $14,980.00 not bad.
Once when I get more time I will actual do more updates and get all of the pictures up as well.
All the best Andrew.
Congratulations on your 8th year of transmission.
Yes 8 years on this one, I also have stoker.id.au domain, which I mainly use for testing and email.
I’ve had various other sites over the years on free and paid hosting, I think the first would have been in the late 1980’s, before most people had even thought or heard of the internet.
I remember the days of the old dialup bulleton boards. Oh well the world marches on and forward for the most part.
Thanks for the congratulations.
